Formaplex Technologies (“Formaplex”), a leading manufacturer and supplier of lightweight component solutions to the automotive, motorsport, aerospace, medical and defence markets, is delighted to announce Dominic Cartwright has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.

Dominic is an experienced CEO with a history of working in the automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors. Prior to joining Formaplex, Dominic was CEO at Garner Aerospace, a leading international manufacturer components and aerostructure assemblies for the Aerospace and Defence markets. He has also held senior positions at TT Electronics, Prodrive and United Technologies.

Dominic joins Formaplex after a period of restructuring of the Portsmouth-based company following its acquisition by UK private equity fund, Elaghmore, earlier this year. His expertise and leadership will help deliver Formaplex’s long-term goal of creating a resilient business driven by demand for its industry-leading products from an increasingly diversified customer base.

Elaghmore has committed significant funding to support the future of Formaplex, which employs 482 people across its four sites. Formaplex has also secured key customer support following its restructure. The Company has both a strong balance sheet and robust order book.
