Where we came from.

We aren’t like most ‘private equity’ firms or venture capitalists. We didn’t spin-out of a large bank or big fund. We began 15 years ago, from our base in the UK’s Midlands, investing our own money into companies we believed could benefit from our experience in industry.

Our first investment was to buy 150-year old family business, Dane Group, which we sold to its largest US competitor. Since then we have invested across a wide variety of industrial sectors and built up our team of experienced business advisers and industrialists.

From each of these successes we have reinvested the proceeds into new businesses.

In 2016, several major financial institutions from the US and Europe asked us to invest money on their behalf too.

Our differentiator

We have the confidence to keep things simple. We trust our instincts, about business and people, and we can make quick decisions.

We understand the importance of working with people we like and respect.

Our experience of making companies successful allows us to draw on a vast bank of knowledge and industry contacts.

Perhaps that is why people trust us to be the owners and stewards of their life’s work and most important asset – their business.
